About Caitlin Bagby

Cait completed her BA in International Relations from the American University of Rome in 2009 where she also sat on several boards and committees including the President of the International Relations Club, Student Board of Appeals, Secretary of the Student Government, assistant Lecturer in Public Speaking and Negotiations, and Lead Delegate for the Model Harvard United Nations. During her time at AUR, Cait additionally worked as a Department Assistant, Student Researcher for several published books, lectures, and articles, as well as an Assistant Editor for the academic journal: International Political Anthropology.

After graduating she took a year off to work at Baker Abraham Law Firm in Boston, MA eventually pursuing an MA in War at King’s College London graduating in 2011 with an academic emphasis on genocide studies, human rights, and terrorism. While in London, Cait interned working as a risk analyst focusing on the MENA region in regards to strategic and political developments, incident trends, and threat assessments in regards to terrorism and piracy.

Upon completion of her studies Cait went on to become an Editor and then Editor-in-Chief of Politikon, an internationally circulated social sciences journal under IAPSS. Simultaneously, while working as an Editor for IAPSS she was a research intern at the University of Boston Center for Gender, Security, and Human Rights. In 2015 Cait made the leap to blogging full time until 2019, transitioning World Threads Traveler from high fashion to sustainable fashion by pairing her academic training in human rights with her love and curiosity of fashion.
