Hi there! I’m Kim Valente, the founder and principal designer at Brick + Beam Studio. On some level, I’ve always known I wanted to be an interior designer. As a child, I spent hours rearranging my room, dreaming of remodeling old homes and imagining how my surroundings could be improved. With my longstanding love of all things interiors, it was easy to decide to go to school for interior design. I attended Endicott College and after graduating I worked for several different design studios and architectural firms on a variety of project types including corporate offices, medical offices, biotech, museums, higher education and luxury residential.
In 2014, I opened Brick + Beam Studio. My ability for creative problem solving, innate sense of design, and project management expertise allow me to deliver successful design projects for my clients. For me, interior design is about so much more than making a space look beautiful. I approach design from a very practical standpoint with a focus on how the interior environment will improve the wellbeing and happiness of the occupants as well as the planet.
