The Wendell’s story started almost by accident…
My dad, Wendell, answered an ad in the Burlington Free Press in 1999 and was in business before the 4th of July. He didn’t know much about furniture, but my dad has always been good at making friends. Now, over 20 years later, we are a 2nd generation, locally owned furniture store with a HUGE 40,000 SQ foot showroom in Colchester, including Wendell’s LOFT and Wendell’s Sleep Center.
We have made a lot of new friends. More importantly, we have over 20 employees who work hard every day to make Wendell’s the friendliest place to shop and buy furniture in the great state of Vermont (the world actually). It starts with a warm greeting and a piece of chocolate. It ends with beautiful furniture and the best delivery crew around. We are the only store that does things “Wendell’s Way”…just the way dad taught me.
