About Southern Vermont Natural History Museum

Welcome to the Southern Vermont Natural History Museum! We are a small natural history museum featuring a historic collection, live animals and lots of educational programs. Check out the website or visit with us here.

The SVNHM houses one of the largest collections of native bird and mammal mounts in the northeast. We also have interactive and live animal exhibits including birds of prey, reptiles and amphibians, native trout and salmon and exotic insects and spiders.
The museum sees close to 7000 visitors annually. Our outreach programs reach thousands of people each year. We strive to continuously grow and improve all of our program offerings.
