Growing up in Kenya and India, lands of sumptuous visual contrasts, Penelope’s appreciation of color and shape is as instinctive as it is learned. Her education in the U.K. and work in London, Vancouver, and New York developed a discerning eye for spatial relationships, and an innate ability to listen was honed by years spent in the world of non-profit organizations. She opened Penelope Daborn Ltd. in 1996, shortly after moving to Maine.
